He was a founding member and past president of Artbeat Gallery, which
was awarded for it's Innovation in the Arts by the Santa
Clara Arts Council in 1993. He previouly served on the San
Jose Art League Board of Directors and is the Program Chairman
for the Los Gatos Art Association.
Luke's paintings have received much recognition. Luke paintings are
in many national and international private collections and
has been the featured artist at several gallery shows.
He is an exhibiting member of Salon, North Valley Art League
and the Society of Western Artists. His work may be
seen Redding Civic Center, Redding Medical Center, North
Valley Art League and other local venues. His work has appeared
in several juried shows at the San Jose Museum, the Triton
Museum and the SWA annual show at Marin Civic Center and
in numerous other venues.
Luke leads watercolor painting workshops at his studio and the Elk
Creek Art Center in Redding, CA. He has attended numerous
painting workshops at Asilomar, Ruidoso, and Mendocino and
St. Mary's Art Centers as well as sixty semester hours of
college training.
