Painted at Kieser Meadow near Mt. Shasta City after the first snowfall in October 2014.  Dedicated to my mother who was born and raised at the base of Mt. Shasta...her mountain.

The Mt. Lassen Art Center, art school and gallery at 36373 State Hwy 44, Viola, CA, was located 7 miles west of the North Entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park 11 miles east of the Shingletown Post Office.  The art center offered an annual art show, art lessons and workshops, guided painting excursions, free painting set ups for visitors and a variety of art education  out reach for twenty years.  The Mt. Lassen Art Center closed in June in 2020.  It lives in spirit only.
